About Us

My name is Georgina and I run Pets be Friends. I live in Bedfordshire with my partner Steve and our extremely loving border terrier Frodo who we rescued a year ago.

I have been passionate about animals since I can remember and have grown up surrounded by them (I made sure of that!). I have worked with all different types of animals including farm, wildlife, pet and zoo animals. I have loved working with every one of them and enjoy every part of animal care.

I studied Psychology at university and once graduated I volunteered at a famous wildlife hospital and gained NVQ level 1&2 in Animal care.  Since leaving there I have been a zoo keeper. At the zoo I was an animal trainer and specialised in handling free flying birds which were used in the demonstrations.

Now I run Pets be Friends with the help of my family. I expect an extremely high quality of myself and the service I provide. Being friendly, reliable and approachable means I am understanding of your needs and will fit in to suit your lifestyle. Above all else I adore animals and when your pet is in my care it will be treated as my own.
